Reduce water evaporation during Summer and keep weeds at bay by mulching your gardens. It looks great too.
Spraying lawns for weeds, especially Bindi, should be done in spring before it starts warming up. Once Bindi goes to seed you are stuck with the prickles for the Summer.
It is recommended to fertilise your lawn lightly every 6 weeks but an application at the change of each season is the bare minimum to keep a strong healthy lawn. Healthy lawns have less weeds too.
Prune your roses twice a year. Go hard in Winter and a light prune before Christmas.
Do not spray for weeds when is is windy or over 25 degrees C. Wind will cause drift and overspray, killing plants youu wanted to keep. Hot days will cause aditional stress to your lawn & may damage it permanently. Make sure you use the most suitable herbicide for you type of lawn & wear protective clothing.
